WHAT IT DOES TODAY

A place for your
everyday ideas.

For the notebook people, the project people, and the “where did I put that PDF?” people.

01 / NOTES

Keep your original. Try a draft.

Type or dictate an idea, then review a separate AI draft. Longer Notes can take several minutes.

Verified on dev · localExplore Notes
02 / MEMORY

Pick up where you left off.

Ask PHNTM to remember a detail. Review it later, correct it, or tell it to forget.

Documented · localExplore memory
03 / DOCUMENTS

Ask your own files.

Question PDFs, text and Markdown locally. Check cited files and pages: AI and OCR can make mistakes.

Documented · localExplore documents
04 / VOICE

Talk it through.

Tap the microphone, ask a question and hear a reply. Local voice runs in Private mode.

Documented · localExplore voice

“Documented” means described in the accepted manual; a development check is not complete retail certification. See every capability and status, including planned additions.

FROM THOUGHT TO NEXT STEP

Your words.
Room to develop them.

Notes keeps your original separate from AI drafts. Try Clean up, Develop idea or Project checkpoint, then decide what to keep.

Processing stays local in every mode. Review the output; longer notes can take several minutes.

Follow an example project
  1. Type a rough idea, or record up to 60 seconds and review the transcript.
  2. Save the original. Try a separate AI draft or organize your statements into a checkpoint.
  3. Send a reference PDF through PHNTM Drop on your local network. Check cited passages against the source.
  4. Save a useful detail as a memory. Reminders need a verified clock; offline alerts after a cold power loss are not established.

This is a suggested workflow using a fictional project.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Some things
should stay
in your room.

Your conversations. Your notes. Your train of thought. In Private mode, PHNTM processes them on the device—without sending them to a cloud AI service.

01

Your hardware. Your choice.

Local AI on a Raspberry Pi 5. Use the assistant without a cloud account or required subscription.

02

Also on your phone.

Pair a browser companion over your local network. Internet access is separate.

03

Control stays with you.

Review your memories, delete your documents, and export your data. Optional cloud connections are yours to enable.

THE OCTOBER 7 BUILD

The useful stuff.
And the unglamorous stuff that matters.

Notes, local document questions, memory, voice, a phone browser companion and privacy tools are all part of the documented device. Optional Claude, Telegram, email and calendar connections have their own data paths.

What I’ve been tightening up

Recurring reminders keep their pause state. Timezone changes preserve their intended occurrence. Document processing has tighter resource limits. Email approvals, phone credentials and recovery paths have received targeted repairs.

That’s less glamorous than a glowing orb. It’s also the work an appliance needs. Response-time and reliability improvements are ongoing.

Accepted development build, reviewed October 7. Updates are owner-initiated; this does not say a previously shipped unit already has these changes.

PRODUCT DETAILS. OPEN TO SCRUTINY.

Know what
you're bringing home.

I’m Jacob DeCamp. I built PHNTM One around a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB NVMe M.2 SSD and a 1920×1200 touchscreen. You should be able to inspect the hardware, the limits and the terms before you hand me $799.

Built for private, personal assistance.

PHNTM One uses a small local model. Open-ended answers generate at roughly two words per second, varying with workload; longer answers can take over a minute. Frontier cloud models are stronger at complex reasoning. Understand the trade-offs before you order.

BEFORE YOU MAKE ROOM

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Does it work without the internet?

Yes. Local chat, memory, documents and voice run on the device. Phone pairing uses your local network. Optional cloud services need internet access and must be enabled separately. How privacy works →

How does it compare with ChatGPT?

PHNTM One prioritizes privacy and ownership. Its small local model is slower and less capable at complex reasoning than frontier cloud models. Open-ended answers generate at roughly two words per second, varying with workload; longer answers can take over a minute. Optional Boosted mode uses your own Anthropic key and is billed separately by that provider. See the comparison →

Is there a subscription?

No required subscription for the local assistant. PHNTM One costs $799 plus applicable tax. Free US shipping is included. Optional third-party services can have their own costs.

Can I order outside the US?

Yes, international orders are available by quote, subject to delivery availability. Request a quote with your country and postal code. Orders shipping outside the US are subject to shipping charges. We confirm your destination, shipping cost, and power supply before payment. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees may also apply.

When will my PHNTM One ship?

PHNTM One is made to order and ships within 7–10 business days after payment. Carrier transit time is additional. You receive tracking by email when it ships. Shipping policy →

What if it isn't right for me?

After purchase, you have 30 days from delivery to request a return for a refund of the purchase price. Return shipping is your responsibility. A one-year limited hardware warranty covers defects under normal use. Read the full terms →
